Een bestuurder viel zondagochtend op bij agenten doordat de vonken van zijn auto afvlogen. Hij reed op de Parallelweg in Beverwijk op zijn velg de politie tegemoet.

Wijkagenten konden hem staande houden en na een test bleek de 19-jarige bestuurder onder invloed van alcohol.

Hij is aangehouden en meegenomen naar het bureau. Er zal een proces-verbaal worden opgemaakt.

Sheriff: 5-year-old child found in car trunk

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. — A 5-year-old child was taken to a Charleston hospital on Tuesday after he was found locked in the trunk of a car.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Ross Mellinger, the car was parked in a mobile home park in the Cottageville area. Someone interested in buying the car found the child while inspecting the vehicle.

The incident happened as high air temperatures across West Virginia were in the 90s.

Updated Horry County Schools dashboard shows 6,800 students in quarantine

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Horry County Schools updated its COVID-19 dashboard to show just how many students are currently in quarantine in the district.

The latest update at 4:47 p.m. on Monday shows there are 6,800 students in quarantine, out of the nearly 43,400 students that opted into face-to-face instruction in the district.

OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie USD 367 has established a COVID-19 dashboard on its website homepage to help patrons monitor case activity in the district.

The dashboard includes the number of active cases for staff and students as well as information about quarantines currently taking place in the district. The information also is broken down by school building. The dashboard does not identify specific individuals. That information is confidential.

The district notes that only laboratory confirmed positives that are verified by the Miami County Health Department are included on the dashboard.
