Springfield man charged with drug trafficking; found asleep in car with engine running

SPRINGFIELD – A 23-year-old city man is facing drug trafficking charges after he was found with 300 bags of heroin and more than 40 grams of crack cocaine early Thursday on Fernwald Street, police said.

Jerome Williams is charged with trafficking between 36 and 100 grams of cocaine, distribution of heroin, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving an unregistered, uninsured vehicle, and illegal possession of an electric stun gun.

Toyota Motor Corporation is developing a hydrogen combustion engine in an effort to move toward a carbon-neutral mobility society. It has installed the engine—a 1.6L in-line three-cylinder turbo with intercooler—on a racing vehicle based on Toyota’s Corolla Hatchback, which it will enter in competition under the ORC ROOKIE Racing banner.

Honda on Friday laid out ambitious targets for its business: It wants to phase out all engines in production cars by 2040. According to Honda’s new CEO, Toshihiro Mibe, a mix of electric vehicles and fuel-cell powertrains will take their place.

DALLAS, Tex. (CBS NEWSPATH) — A stray dog that was trapped under an SUV has a new home with one of the firefighters who rescued her.

A stray dog that got trapped inside the engine compartment of an SUV is now a free dog with a new owner and a new home.

Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighter James Hayes and his team responded to a report of a puppy trapped inside a car and spent hours trying to set the pup free, according to local TV station KDFW.
