Emergency workers were called to the A60 junction with Leeming Lane, between Mansfield Woodhouse and Spion Kop at around 11am on February 25 after a road traffic collision involving three cars.
The road was initially closed in both directions, as fire and rescue workers cut open the top of one vehicle involved in the crash to free passengers trapped inside, but it was reopened at 1pm.
Two people were taken to hospital but in a tweet, group manager at Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service Matt Reavill said “thankfully casualties conditions don’t appear too serious at this time”.
He warned the low morning sun could have contributed to the crash and urged motorists to “take extra care” as winter road conditions of snow, ice, rain, wind and low sun can make even well-known roads hazardous.
